Coach throws the ball into the centre of the six players who are laying on the ground

Coach throws the ball into the centre of the six players who are laying on the ground, when the ball leaves the coaches hand the players rise quickly to their feet, try and win possession of the ball and share the ball with their team mates and kick to the leading forward players.

Players on forward line are unsure who the full forward will be, until the ball is won at the centre contest. 2 drills Included

Shepherding/Support

The ball carrier works with the support of his team mates to get to the next spot.

Shepherding/Support

The red player is the opponent and endeavors to get to the ball carrier, while he works his way to the next group all players must stay out of the centre square.

Contest Two on One

Increases the awareness of teamwork.

Competitive work against the odds. Coach starts drill by kicking ball to groups of 3 players who contest in a 2 on 1 situation. They compete and work the ball to the next group who does the same and so on around the ground.

Attack and Defend. The coach kicks the ball high to a pair in the goal square.

The 3 groups on the 50m arc run in.

The red team (working together) are the forwards while the navy team are backs, Reds Crumb & Goal Navy stops reds and Clears the ball.

In pairs handball ball around the oblong and follow on. One player in the centre works up and down, while the other player works across, both players assist pair with the ball.

Players in the centre now have an opponent with a blocking bag trying to stop the opponent from reaching the other end to assist.

Players in the centre now have two (2) opponents, each with a blocking bag, trying to stop the opponent from reaching the other end to assist.
