Coaching football now requires more documentation than ever. When you are on a two or three year contract the more information you have of your club, players as well as strategies the better off you will be.
First area to look at is Evaluation and Review section,
looking back and looking forward. I suggest you do this exercise every four weeks, then looking back over your notes you will form an opinion of where your team is at and also see a pattern forming from your notes. Out of 10% give each of your topics a mark.
Following on are the areas of achievements .
Document what you believe you as Coach plus players have achieved so far this season. Mark your achievements % out of 10.
Next is Failures / Weakness in individual and team armoury.
We coaches are always robbing Peter to pay Paul however having your thoughts documented will help you to form an opinion that will benefit the team. E.g Ruck play, kickouts, ball thru corridor, pressing down ground etc etc.
Whether winning or losing we all learn lessons from a game.
We learn a great deal from the opposition or moves made by the opponents, once again document your thoughts as it will jog your memory to try these lessons learnt if you feel it will benefit you team.
A little piece of work however, VERY BENEFICAL. (Every four to 6 weeks your choice)
