If I asked a player to kick the ball to a team mate who was standing 40 metres away, he would most likely hit the target 100% of the time, putting the ball within one metre (arm length) either side of his team mate, However if I put the player in front of goal for a set shot at the same distance and said do the same thing, the results would be different. So, what’s changed? The player has stopped doing and started thinking about what he needs to do.’
Pick out an object behind the goal and kick to that object, same as you do end to end kicking at training.
