Facts on the hours we train. (For those who haven’t enough hours in the day to train or are always too busy to do the extra training, which will help produce the best results for your club, read on)
Fact 24 hrs in a day = 168 hrs per week
Sleep requirements, 8 hrs per night = 56 hrs per week
Work or study = 40 hrs per week
Training and Game time 5hrs plus 3 hrs game time = 8 hrs a week.
Total 104 Hrs, leaves 64 hrs for leisure social activities and family life.
Surely we could squeeze out another 2 hrs per week for extra training on the odd night.
Swimmers Perkins, Thorpe and generally all swimmers train 6 hrs a day with their head under water, that takes strong will power and concentration. (how boring)
We have the luxury of running/training in the beautiful environs in our area.
