JOB DESCRIPTION (General)
JUNIOR/U18 COACH
PURPOSE
To coach and develop players of the club to perform consistently at
their highest level
To create a clear pathway for all players and assist players in attaining Reserves or Senior player status
This position is responsible to the Football Manager
DUTIES
Ensure the arrangement, co ordination and supervision of team training sessions and player fitness program
Ensure the team is best prepared for each match
Provide advice and instruction to players individually and to the team in respect of fitness, development, skills and tactics
Responsible for the team and individual discipline
Liase with Reserve and Senior Coaches to ensure a smooth transition for junior/U18 players into senior teams
In conjunction with the Talent Development Officer advise the club on relative merit of prospective future players
Promote players, the team and the sport with the view to engendering a favourable public image for the club
Liase with the Chairperson in relation to player welfare and family members
Attend all social functions relating to the team
