An opposition ruckman has shown up on our forward line as the loose man.  What should we be ready to do now? Here’s some options – provide some of your own in the comments below or discuss the pros and cons of the options suggested.

  • If his role will be to act as a key position player our Ruckman will come into the forward line, not necessarily to pick up, however putting himself into a dangerous position.
  • This will make the opponent come over and pick him up, if the opponent doesn’t pick him up then we must create space ( clear the area)  for this player then this  will create another dangerous option.
  • While this is happening either the FF or CHF plays up the ground becoming the ruckman.
